It has been almost a week since I finally cycled into John o'Groats (a place famously named after a Dutch ferryman from years gone by!). I can confirm that I did indeed celebrate with a plate of traditional Haggis upon arrival, and true to the sheer exhaustion of the journey, I was fast asleep by 10:00 PM! I was incredibly tired, but deeply, deeply proud.
However, nothing made me prouder than seeing the incredible total we have raised together. Thanks to your amazing generosity, we have hit a phenomenal milestone. I am reliably told that £600 is enough to fully fund two entire year groups' worth of school trips—whether that’s an inspiring day at the Old Vic, exploring the outdoors at Forest School, or learning about civic life at the City Council Chambers. Our school is such a wonderful reflection of our community, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to give a little something back.
Finally, I want to say a massive, heartfelt thank you to absolutely everyone. Whether you donated, followed along with these updates, or just spared a thought for me while I was out on the road—you are all phenomenal.
Thank you all so much,
P.S. - Thank you to Emma , Arthur and Iris, you guys were incredible, and comiong home was the best part of the journey.
